Spencer was born in Pleasonton, California on December 27, 2007. He has been a student of Erica since the fall of 2018 and has shown tremendous growth. Spencer is a very well rounded young man that is passionate about everything he does. He enjoys running, watching Formula One and traveling the World with his family. He recently just made his way back home from playing in the UK at Kingsbarns, St. Andrews Old Course and Carnoustie. One of his highlights was making an eagle on Hogan's Alley. 

 

Spencer is a true fan of the game who is always eager to learn more and get out of his comfort zone. Although he is a perfectionist at heart, he has learned through his experience that golf is unlike any other. We are not created to be perfect but we are given a gift that allows us to work hard, have faith and overcome any challenges that come our way. Spencer has all the characteristics a person must have in order to find success in this sport.

 

This summer he volunteered to help out our Junior Golf Camps and Clinics and the kids immediately looked up to Spencer. His gregarious personality and patience allowed the young juniors to look to him for advice and support. He always had a smile on his face and his excitement for the juniors' success was genuine. When Spencer isn't on the course practicing he is most likely watching his favorite player Xander Schauffele and studying his every move.  

 

Coach Erica enjoys every lesson with Spencer for many reasons but the conversations that allow Erica to get to know him off the course is her favorite. From his is love for airplanes, cars and creatures to more serious topics nothing is off limits. Coming from two very different backgrounds we respect one another and challenge each other often. There is no limitations, just trust and respect. Each lesson ends with some sort of competition followed by a handshake and smile. Although Erica holds the putting title, she no longer competes in Long Drive contests with Spencer. 

 

 

 Our Student Highlight represents everything Erica Britt Golf is all about. A player who is hard working, motivated, positive attitude, focused and respectful. We are excited to see where this next chapter takes Spencer and appreciate all that he brings to the game. Thank you Spencer for allowing us to be a part of your journey.
